I was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where I spent my first 30 years. I've finished Faculty of Computer Science at University of Ljubljana in 2009 and also worked in few local companies as Software Developer.
Since I've entered University, I've traveled a lot and that gave me another sense of the world. It also triggered a wish, to go and try to live somewhere else, than a city I was born in. This happened in 2016, where I got an offer to move to Zürich, Switzerland. At first only for two months, but somehow it happened, that I stayed.
Having settled here, I've also become a father, which was (and still is) a big change in life and is just bringing a smile (and sometimes tears) on my face.
I like to work with open minded people and in a team, since I think we can make something big only together. I'm quite strong in web development, with most of my latest background being Ruby on Rails & JavaScript frontend (Vuejs, React, Angular, etc). Lately I've been also focusing on helping and organizing other developers in a team as a team lead.
I am trying to polish a bit my writing skills. So, expect exactly as what the title is saying - just random thoghts written "on paper" in language I personally feel most sutiable for a given topic.
Since I saw an e-ink display, I always thought it would be a cool display for home. Like to show weather, maybe calendar or even some other data like air quality from some sensors, etc.
Lätztes mal habe ich über mein eintrit im “Kaffee Welt” geschrieben. Ist es schön die Zeit für die Austrit?
In my child’s daycare the have a toy called Toniebox. Well, it’s quite cool device for kids, that has no screens, but very intuitive UI - you put a small toy in a shape of eg. Mickey Mouse or Elsa and it will start playing a song or audio book. But, it’s all connected to cloud - so nothing works without internet and you also need an online account. From privacy point of view I think this is not acceptable, since Toniebox always knows what my child has listened to. At least not from my point of view.
Avgusta smo se odpravili na dopust v Slovenijo. Bilo je fino, kot vedno je lepo videti družino in prijatelje na vsake toliko časa. To je bil tudi eden izmed redkih dopustov, kjer si vzamem 14 dni skupaj dopusta tudi v službi. Vse lepo in prav.
Ich habe eine Hassliebe zum Sommer. Wenn es ist etwa zwischen 23°C und 28°C Grad, ich liebe es. Die Sonne, das See, die Leute … alle sind entspannt, es gibt diese Sommerstimmung. Ich erinnere mich immer über eine Slowenische hip-hop Lied “Kam bomo pršli, če bo šlo tko naprej? Ej, brez skrbi, sej je poletje zdej!” und ich bin auch mehr entspannend als zB. im Winter.
